We are two Swiss citizens who have been living in Asia for 17 years. Now we are back in Switzerland since 2015. While travelling, we discovered how many incredibly talented artists are living and working in Asia, in particular in Indonesia.

We started first buying art pieces for ourselves, but then realized, that many people loved the incredible pieces we had in our apartment. That’s what inspired us to start asiatrendgallery in Singapore in 2009. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey.

We are now dedicating more and more time to this business, since we want to bring our passion for art to a wider audience. Therefore we have decided to expand our web-presence and to make our art easily accessible.

We have made it a principle, that we want to know the artist behind each piece we purchase, in person. In this way we have met many talented individuals. But we not only developed a professional relationship with them, but also developed a personal relationship with every artist. In addition, we know the families of most of them personally.

Since most of them are aspiring artists, who do not have big galleries standing behind them, for most of them selling art and living of it is sometimes a struggle. Being able to regularly purchase art from them has helped many of the artists to steady their income. We are happy to contribute to a better life of them and their families.

So far, we have managed asiatrendgallery more as a hobby. We have now freed up resources and are committed to develop our gallery to a leading gallery for Asian and in particular Indonesian art in Europe and later the rest of the world. We see a big opportunity to bring this high quality art pieces to a new audience and share our passion for art with a wider group of collectors.

With the exposure of their art to a bigger collector community, our artists will be able to increase their reach and ultimately the value paid for their art.
