Suharmanto was born in 1976 and works and lives with his family outside of Yogyakarta.

Trained at the Instutute of Art in Yogyakarta, Suharmanto is one of the most talented artists to emerge from the contemporary Indonesian art scene. His passion is to paint photorealistic work, usually using oil colors. Collectors are mesmerized by the incredible precision of his work.

“Our life and everything we see is reality. We can not avoid reality. To paint things as they are is a very honest way of looking at life. But reality still leaves space for our dreams, feelings and secrets.”

Suharmanto has exhibited in various galleries in Asia and Europe.
